A big hello from the team here at Blades Maintenance and welcome to our new blog!
With over 10 years of experience in the cleaning industry but no real portfolio of work to display for our efforts, we thought we’d change all of that starting today with this blog feature of our website. We’ll be doing our utmost to document our new jobs, activities and services (customer willing of course!) to show you just what we’re capable of and what we can do for you!
We’ll also be sharing hints, tips and tricks of the trade so that you can also tackle some jobs on your own with greater success!
A little bit about us
Blades Maintenance is a cleaning company I started back in 2005. We started off as traditional window cleaners but gradually started offering other services such us Gutter Cleaning, Power Washing, PVC Cleaning, Conservatory Roof Cleaning and Caravan/Static Home Cleaning. Nowadays we tend to use the latest Water Fed Pole technology for most of our window cleaning and exterior cleaning tasks but there are some occasions where it just isn’t practical and in these instances we revert back to doing things the good old-fashioned way!
Where we operate
We operate throughout the North West of England but as we are based in Colne Lancashire, most of our work tends to be in Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales. If you are a customer who is interested in obtaining a quote then we will certainly consider visiting all areas, but we will also be honest if it is not really practical for us to do work in your particular area. We do have many contacts of reliable cleaning operatives around the company however, and so we may be able to recommend somebody if we can’t visit you ourselves.

As we tend to use the latest water fed pole technology for most of our window cleaning and exterior cleaning jobs, we thought it would be good to give you a simple explanation of what the water fed pole technology is and also how it works.
